May2010: The Apathetic Front

First time voter here. The most vulnerable and powerful person during the election. Tell me about it. It's a political whirlwind out there and to quote, there are "200 hundred pages of problems" to be solved.

Already registered and stuff. Yeaaaa. What do I do next? Because seriously I don't know. Does surveying the candidates count? Or would I rather deal on the technicals before decision-making?

Speaking of technicals, I've been hearing a lot of fuss over the automated elections. Does it really matter? I mean. Would the possibilities of cheating on the election be greater? Would it make our country better? Would it help the people in choosing wisely?

I've been told I lack faith in this country. Been criticized that I lack patriotism and nationalism. Yes, Thank You for that. But has it seriously occurred to anyone why people, such as me, are apathetic. There are tons of reasons to be so.

But I will vote because I care. Because I still have faith in the Youth. Because I still exist in this friggin' world. And for all I care a single vote counts.

I was laughing like hell but it did make me care. C'mon! :))
